Minor burns and grazes can be managed here. Anything large, deep, or involving the face, hands or joints usually needs assessment for referral.

Can I get a dressing changed at the clinic?

Yes, our practice nurse does dressings, wound review and suture removal. Book ahead where you can so the treatment room is available.

Do you remove stitches?

Yes, at the right interval for the site. It is part of the follow-up after any procedure done here.

What if my wound looks infected?

Ring us rather than waiting for the next scheduled dressing. Spreading redness, increasing pain, discharge or feeling unwell are all reasons to be seen sooner.

Is wound care bulk billed?

Medicare-eligible consultations are bulk billed for patients with a valid Medicare card. Some dressing consumables may attract a cost — reception will tell you first.

Can you manage a burn?

Minor burns can be managed here. Anything large or deep, or involving the face, hands or joints, is assessed and usually referred.
