The electrical activity of your heart at rest — rate, rhythm, and patterns that can point to strain or previous damage. It is a snapshot, not a full assessment of your heart.
A normal ECG at rest does not rule out heart disease, particularly if symptoms only come on with exertion. Sometimes further tests are the right next step.
Small stickers on your chest, arms and legs, lying still for a minute. You may need to expose your chest, and you can ask for our practice nurse to be present.
Do not drive yourself and do not book an appointment. Chest pain, pressure, or pain spreading to the arm or jaw with sweating or breathlessness is an emergency. Call 000.
